Bill Sherer's We Tie It Fly Shop - Serving Northern Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Located in the heart of Vilas County in Boulder Junction "The Musky Capital of the World". Our "Full Service" Fly Shop has been catering to fly anglers since 1994 with a full line of fly fishing tackle, clothing and wading apparel.

We strive to meet or exceed your expectations, we offer the most complete fly tying materials selection in the Northwoods, along with custom rod repair and advice on current hatches and where to find great fishing.  

Meet The Team

Bill Sherer: Owner/Guide

Bill owns the shop and has been guiding and fishing these waters since 1994 alongside Dawn. He knows the Northwoods inside and out. If you walk in on a Saturday with a question, Bill has the answer. 

Dawn Sherer: Owner/Shop Manager

Dawn runs the shop and is often the first person you will meet when you walk through the door. She greets everyone with a welcoming smile and makes sure the shop runs smoothly. Dawn also has extensive knowledge of fly fishing and the Northwoods and is always willing to help.

John: Guide

John is one of our guides and an exceptional oarsman. He is smooth and controlled on the sticks and has a deep understanding of fishing the Northwoods. His combination of silky smooth oarsmanship and fishing knowledge make him and his clients a dangerous combination. 

Gareth York: Guide

Gareth is originally from Colorado and came to the Northwoods to get away from crowded rivers and experience a different kind of fishery. After years of guiding out west, the opportunity to fish for fat Smallies, Musky, and explore quieter water made it an easy decision to come up north. He brings a mix of western experience and a technical approach to each day on the water.
