Wire Weed Guards

The upper midwest is blessed with lots of water, but it is very young, only about 10,000 year old, therefore it is rather shallow - when compared to other places in the USA.  Most of our fish spend a large part of their lives in weedy waters where it can be difficult to get a bait to them without hanging the hook up on all the vegetation, I have developed a wire weed guard that seems to work well, the following is what the fish have taught me about installing it on the hook so it can be most effective:
